Pet owners don’t anticipate emergencies.
Puppies dart into the street, where they are hit by cars. Kittens fall out of high-rise windows. Cats struggle to breathe with the unexpected onset of feline asthma. Dogs get hurt while chasing other dogs in the park.
AMC’s Patient Assistance Fund (PAF) was established to help pet owners in need get free or subsidized care in just such emergency situations. But AMC’s Emergency and Critical Care service is busier than ever and the reserves in the Patient Assistance Fund are running dangerously low.
Because the health of pets is AMC’s primary concern, we never want to say no to anyone who needs, and qualifies, for support. So, on this Giving Tuesday, we are asking for your help to replenish the Patient Assistance Fund.
Grants from PAF enable the owners of beloved pets to get emergency--often lifesaving--treatments that allow them to have long and happy lives together.
Grants from PAF enable AMC veterinarians to tell families they can take their pets home after an accident or the onset of a sudden illness without taking on additional financial burdens.
Grants from PAF save lives.
Please help us continue to assist pets and the families who love them by donating to PAF today.
